Manólis Dimitrianákis

Manólis Dimitrianákis was born in Mirtos. When he went to Law School in Athens, he met the Great Márkos Vamvakáris and learned the real Rembétika style. With his group “Rembétiko Kompaniá” he started a revival of an almost forgotten genre.

Giórgos Kaparákis

Not only  is Giórgos a very virtuous artist whith a high NPS (notes per second) rate, he’s a gifted luthier. In his workshop in Néos Mírtos he builds finely crafted Bouzoukia and Baglamades,  that have found their way to various musicians both native and abroad.

Giánnis Petsagourákis

Giánnis is the troubadour of Mirtos. In summer you can hear him play in the village at least once a week. Accompanied by his fine guitar, he sings a huge repertoire of Greek and English songs with a wonderful voice.

Stélla Chariná

She was born 22nd of December 1992 in Thessaloniki and left at the age of 18 for Crete to study in the department of commerce & marketing at the TEI of Crete in Ierapetra. She has been giving professional performances since the winter of 2012. Her repertory is rich, from traditional folk songs, artistic songs to Rembetika. During the winter period you can listen to her in different “Rakadika” (places where you can eat small dishes and have a drink) in Ierapetra, in the summer she is in one of the taverns in Mirtos regularly.

Yiánnis Kapetanákis

The lyraplayer Yiánnis Kapetanákis plays with soul and imagination , beyond the strict tradition of the instrument , giving another dimension to the lyra.

Alone on stage, he creates a musical environment only with the lyra and his voice !

With the help of a looper,  he records repeating sounds and melodies on the spot (livelooping), making his own compositions , improvisations and adaptations of favorite songs , giving an unforgettable trip with his lyra…
