In the last two weeks, two groups of students from France were in Mirtos to work on the path towards the Minoan settlement on Pirgos Hill. They stayed in Hotel Esperides<\/a> and were supported and accompanied by our mayor \u0391\u03bb\u03ad\u03be\u03b1\u03bd\u03b4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2 \u03a0\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03b5\u03bb\u03ac\u03ba\u03b7\u03c2<\/strong> and his wife \u03a0\u03cc\u03c0\u03b7 \u0393\u03b5\u03c1\u03c9\u03bd\u03c5\u03bc\u03ac\u03ba\u03b7<\/strong>.  Below are some words (in Greek) from the Mayor and a collection of his photos. As you can see, they had a good time with the mayor, who speaks French fluently, and his wife, who showed them around in her kitchen. The Minoan excavation on Pirgos Hill is now accessible more easily, and we wish to say thank you to the French students and their professional teachers, who gave many a sweat drop to make this possible.
